Getting to Glasgow Airport by Taxi
Airport taxis are available 24 hours a day to any destination and any distance. Taxi drivers are obliged to meter the entire journey and publish their scale of charges. Longer distance journey prices may be negotiated with the driver. The taxi fare from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow city centre is approximately £18 - £20, depending on traffic volume.
The taxi rank is located at the front of the terminal building.
Only taxis licensed by Renfrewshire Council are able to pick up from the front of the terminal building. These include Renfrewshire Council licensed taxis.
Other taxis are permitted to pick up and drop off passengers in the dedicated pick-up/drop-off zone, within the ground floor of car park 2 (the multi-storey car park). Motorists are able to access this area free for up to 10 minutes. However, drivers are not permitted to park in this area and must leave within 10 minutes, otherwise they will be required to pay a penalty. You should always arrange a pick-up time with your taxi driver. It is important that you inform your driver if your flight is late.
Taxis are also permitted to drop off passengers on St Andrews Drive, a short distance from the terminal building.
Note: If you have any reason for complaint, quote the driver’s permit taxi plate or vehicle registration number to the airport duty manager as soon as possible.
